The Green Lanes Strategy Group is a committee of Haringey Council, set up in 2003 following the locally infamous incidents surrounding global heroin baron, Huseyin Baybasin, who for a time made his headquarters in Harringay's Green Lanes.The group's remit was to regenerate the Green Lanes area.
The group was approved by Council Committee in July 2003. Shortly after it was set up, it drew up a five-year plan.
Reporting directly to the Leader of the Council, the group's membership is by invitation only and currently includes:
